CLEAR-COM® UNVEILS NEW COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEMS AT PROLIGHT + SOUND 2008

Frankfurt, Germany, March 12, 2008–Spotlighting its signature products, Clear-Com Communication Systems®, a global leading provider of communications systems, will be exhibiting the Encore™ Party-line Communication System, the compact Eclipse Median Digital Matrix for mid-size to large applications, Eclipse Easi-PiCo Digital Matrix for smaller applications, and the flexible FreeSpeak®10. A new offering this year is Eclipse V-Series Desktop, the latest addition to the company‘s line of sophisticated V-Series products that provides cutting-edge Digital Signal Processing technology in an acoustically controlled contemporary design.

A popular intercom system used in theater, performance, and other live events, the Clear-Com Party-line allows all users on a given channel to communicate with each other simultaneously. Clear-Com‘s new Encore™ Party-line intercom system continues the tradition of superior audio quality while offering an enhanced user-interface (UI). The ruggedized metal chassis will continue to stand up to the most demanding environments while the new dark blue body and LED indicators give the line a fresh new look.

Eclipse Median is a neat and compact, 6RU frame uniquely designed for outside broadcast vehicles, mobile flight-case systems, or any production environment where rack space is limited. Despite its small profile, the powerful unit delivers up to 112 CAT-5 panel/4-wire ports with any combination of interface cards for maximum versatility. Designed for smaller applications, Eclipse Easi-PiCo is based on a 16-port Eclipse-PiCo matrix and includes frame, power supply, and external interface cards with a choice of control panels and beltpacks. Designed to run without the need for external software, Easi-PiCo is a true plug and play, entry-level digital matrix intercom package, engineered for easy installation, start up and use.

FreeSpeak® brings both a broad connectivity from a stand alone base station (FreeSpeak®10), which can connect to Party-line and Digital Matrix intercom systems, or a Matrix based interface card (FreeSpeak® 50) that interfaces seamlessly into a digital matrix system. Both offer wireless beltpack-to-beltpack conversations or group conferences. Users are able to create tightly linked wireless systems with as many as 50 beltpacks and connect them to a wide variety of wired communications. FreeSpeak®10 has been updated to include remote beltpack battery monitoring, party-line call alert functionality, beltpack-to-beltpack vibration alerts and improved configuration software. Both systems are robust enough for any broadcast environment and uniquely blends digital matrix technology with a locally distributed wireless “network.” FreeSpeak® operates license-free in the 1.9 GHz frequency band, free from outside interference.

Clear-Com‘s Digital Matrix Series was designed to offer high-quality audio with powerful linking capabilities whether across a performance venue or across continents. Making its debut this year is the V-Series Desktop Panel, which gives live production and broadcast professionals maximum control of their voice communication through a number of advanced and innovative features. These include individual up and down level controls that allow users to adjust personal audio mix for all calls. Supervisor functionality allows centralized control of any V-Series panel, enabling efficient workflow. Source and destination labels are more distinct and easily identified through 10-character, high-resolution graphic displays with international character support.

Taking place March 12-15, 2008, in Frankfurt, Germany, the annual Prolight + Sound is the world’s largest international trade fair for event and communication technology and audio-visual production and entertainment. Attendees are invited to visit Stand No. H8 K53 and speak with the company representatives about its showcase products.
