LAUTEN AUDIO PARTNERS WITH THE AUDIO PROFESSIONALS UK

FRANKFURT, GERMANY, March 10, 2008 - Lauten Audio, a high-end microphone maker, has announced a new distribution agreement with UK-based The Audio Professionals. Under the terms of the agreement, The Audio Professionals will serve as the sole distributor in the United Kingdom for the Santa Clara, California-based company‘s entire microphone line, including their highly successful Horizon tube microphone and three new models. The entire microphone line will be on display at the 2008 Musikmesse Pro Light and Sound show in Hall 5.1 D50.

“We are delighted to have been appointed as the UK distributor for Lauten Audio,” says Martin Warr, Director at The Audio Professionals. “In a market packed with a huge range of microphones, we found Lauten Audio to be extremely refreshing in their approach to design and manufacture. The Audio Professionals are constantly looking to align ourselves with quality and forward thinking companies of integrity, where the products are never compromised; Lauten Audio absolutely fits this criterion. The people behind Lauten Audio are some of the most experienced and trusted figures in the microphone industry today, and we know [the founder] Brian Loudenslager has some exciting plans for the future, so we are looking forward to working with him and his team.”

Lauten Audio‘s first commercially available product, the Horizon tube microphone, is a hand crafted boutique quality microphone that has proven to be a must-have for many recordists. Lauten Audio‘s new microphones include the FC-357 Clarion, the ST-221 Torch, and the LT-381 Oceanus. The FC-357 is a solid-state multi-pattern large diaphragm condenser microphone, designed for recordists looking for very clean and natural sound reproduction. The ST-221 is a pair of small diaphragm tube microphones. The ST-221 combines the characteristics of the small diaphragm and the tube, making it an ideal choice for recording instruments. Finally, the LT-381 features a newly designed large dual-diaphragm capsule, unique circuit topology with a pentode input and transformerless triode output circuit, and variable omni, cardioid and figure-8 polar patterns. The LT-381 is designed to be a high-performance vocal microphone that produces incredibly full and detailed recordings.

“We are very pleased to partner with The Audio Professionals in the United Kingdom,” says Brian Loudenslager, founder of Lauten Audio. “Martin Warr and Dave West have more than 30 years of combined industry experience in marketing professional audio products. 615 Music Teams with “TODAY” Show on New Campaign, Delivers 5.1 Surround Package to KPIX

why-i-love-today-mm-dmn.JPG

615 Music, one of America‘s preeminent Production Music companies, providers of library and production music (both original and custom) for television networks and programs, feature films, radio, commercials, on-air promos, interactive applications and multi-media clients, recently composed and produced the highly successful new musical promotional tune for the “TODAY” show, entitled “Why I Love Today.” To hear this tune, please visit: http://www.615music.com/core/custom_services.cfm

The company has also produced and delivered the country‘s first ever 5.1 Surround sound news music package, for client KPIX TV. 615 Music President and CEO Randy Wachtler made the announcements.

ABOUT “WHY I LOVE TODAY:”

For 615 Music‘s longtime client NBC Television, the company wrote and produced the new song, entitled “Why I Love TODAY,” to promote the “TODAY” show. “Why I Love TODAY,” a very contemporary, pop music style song, was written by Greg Barnhill, Frank Radice, NBC‘s Executive Vice President of Marketing, East Coast, and 615‘s R. Wachtler, and features lead vocalist D. Thomas. Regarding the tune, Mr. Radice said, “Working with 615 Music just makes sense. They understand we want a song, not a jingle…and as a composer, I need a partner and not just a music company. 615 is the best partner I could have both for the music and the marketing.”

The video behind the new promotional song incorporates actual “TODAY” show viewers, who discuss the various reasons why they love that program - relating the show as the source of their latest information about news, food, fashion, entertainment, lifestyle suggestions, etc. “TODAY” has also incorporated celebrity interactions within its “Why I Love TODAY” promo campaign, including those from Will Ferrell, Woody Harrelson and Steve Carrell, to name a few.

In related news, “TODAY” dominated the February Sweep. According to NBC News, the Nielsen numbers say “TODAY” delivered its best February sweep in four years topping “Good Morning America” by more than 1.1 million viewers. For the sweep, “TODAY” attracted 6.1 million viewers - a whopping 1.1+ million (23 percent) lead over GMA, and more than 2.9 million (94 percent) lead over “The Early Show.”

The sweep marks “TODAY‘s” best total viewer advantage over GMA in a February sweep since 2004 (excluding the 2006 Torino Olympic Games). TODAY was the only morning news program to increase in total viewers year-to-year. Versus the February 2007 sweep, “TODAY” increased its advantage over GMA in homes (from 15% up to 21%), total viewers (from 16% up to 23%), W18-49 (from 19% to 32! %), A18-49 (from 27% up to 46%), W25-54 (from 15% up to 20%), and A25-54 (from 26% up to 33%).

ABOUT THE KPIX SURROUND SOUND PROJECT:

For client KPIX TV, San Francisco, 615 Music created and produced a promotional news music package, entitled “Always Worth Your Time,” in Dolby E™ 5.1 Surround, marking a national milestone in the broadcasting industry. Said client Dee Joyce, VP, Advertising and Marketing for KPIX TV, “We‘re excited to be the first TV station in America to broadcast our news music package, created by 615 Music, in 5.1 Surround. Today‘s great shows like ‘CSI‘ already broadcast their audio in 5.1 and make the viewer experience so rich that we wanted to extend that great experience to our local news audience. Our HD signal, together with 5.1 Surround, is an exciting step for CBS 5 KPIX-TV, 615 Music and the Bay Area.”

Mr. Wachtler added, “‘Always Worth Your Time‘ is the first news music package in America to be released in 5.1 Surround and we‘re proud to have created it for Dee Joyce and her creative team at KPIX-TV in San Francisco. This news music package is perfect for stations with a new HD look, and makes the viewer experience rich and exciting. With so many network shows now broadcasting their content in HD and 5.1, 615 Music stands at the leading edge by providing the country‘s first 5.1 news music package.”
