RF CENTRAL OFFERS BROADCAST FLEXIBILITY AT NAB WITH LAUNCH OF NEW RFX-ENG-II DUAL BAND

Las Vegas, NV, March 18, 2008 - RF Central, a leading digital microwave technology provider, is presenting the best of both worlds for transmission capabilities through the introduction of its RFX-ENG-II Dual Band package, which makes its debut at NAB 2008 (Booth C6622). Presenting a state-of-the-art system capable of originating either 2 GHz or 7 GHz COFDM digital transmissions from one unit, the RFX-ENG-II is ideal for ENG news operations where broadcasters require use of both 2 GHz and 7 GHz bands.

Featuring 7 watts of output available in 2 GHz and 1 watt at 7 GHz, the ENG-II Dual Band is available in SD format while upgradeable to full HD via an optional software key. This package combines features from three RF Central signature products: RMT-II Dual Band transmitter, RMTC-II Dual Band rack-mounted transmitter control unit and the 2/7 GHz MMPA-II mast-mounted antenna amplifier.

“Today‘s broadcasters are faced with working within highly congested environments that require additional band capacity,” explains RF Central CEO Jeff Winemiller. “Our new ENG-II Dual Band was designed with that need in mind. In using the ENG-II Dual Band, broadcasters can easily switch from 2 GHz to 7 GHz at will at the flick of a switch.”
