AURALEX ACOUSTICS DOES A ‘SOUND’ BALANCING ACT FOR PRESONUS AND BLACK DOG STUDIOS

Auralex - Black Dog StudiosINDIANAPOLIS, IN — Auralex Acoustics, Inc. recently got the balance right for Presonus and Black Dog Studios. The industry leader in innovative sound control solutions was brought in by Presonus Audio Electronics, a designer and manufacturer of professional audio products, to balance sound for Black Dog Studios, an independent recording and editing facility owned by Presonus’ VP of Sales, Rick Naqvi. The space is utilized for independent projects, production work for all of Presonus’ training and product demo videos as well as several Presonus R&D projects. Several of Auralex’s state-of-the-art acoustical treatments are also installed throughout Presonus’ corporate headquarters.

Auralex - Black Dog Studios 2Auralex was brought into the Black Dog Studios project, during the initial construction stage, where it installed its Auralex SheetBlok sound isolation barriers and Auralex Mineral Fiber sound insulation products into the walls. Auralex also equipped the space with several surface treatments including its pArtScience SpaceCoupler and SonoSuede System. The facility’s iso-booth is outfitted with several Auralex 2” Studiofoam Wedges and LENRD Bass Traps.

“I was first introduced to Auralex at Presonus’ headquarters and was impressed with how the treatments equalized the sound in the space,” says Rick Naqvi, owner of Black Dog Studios and VP of sales at Presonus. “When I designed my home studio, the natural choice was Auralex. Auralex provides great products at an affordable price, while offering specialized room analysis and customer support.”

Presonus also had several Auralex products installed throughout its corporate headquarters in Baton Rouge, LA. Each cubicle in its Tech Support room was treated with Auralex’s 2” Studiofoam Wedges in order to cut down on ambient noise. Presonus’ testing room was treated with Auralex’s 2” Studiofoam Wedges; which enables Presonus to perform its final product tests, in a sound environment, before shipping them to consumers.
