SonicPool, one of Hollywood’s leading post facilities, specializing in sound and picture finishing, edit suite rentals, and full post-production services, has just finished the Sound Mix and Online Color Correction for “Tappedâ€?, a documentary that’s been flowing into various film festivals with it’s informative and eye-opening take on the bottled water industry.
From the producers of “Who Killed the Electric Car comes “Tapped, an unflinching examination of the big business of bottled water. The movie begs viewers to answer the question, “Is access to clean drinking water a basic human right, or a commodity that should be bought and sold like any other article of commerce? Ben Lyons from E! Entertainment calls “Tapped a “passionate documentary that is “well-executed from engaging and intelligent voices who will inform and entertain. See it!

New York, NY – September 2009… The Colombian Independence Day Festival 2009, one of the oldest and best-established festivals in New York City, had its 25th anniversary outing this past July 19th at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens. Sponsored by the Colombian Civic Center (CCC), the annual gathering is geared to promote Colombian culture, values, and traditions, as well as uniting Colombian people throughout the greater New York metropolitan area. For one day, the area was transformed into Colombian kiosks with vendors selling their wares while live music provided entertainment with the invigorating sounds of Cumbia, Vallenato, Salsa, and other Colombian musical rhythms. To help ensure a festive mood, the CCC wanted a potent sound system. They got their wish—with a sizeable setup based on components from the D.A.S. Audio catalog. more

HOLLAND, Michigan – September 2009 — What is a church to do when the economy spirals into recession halfway through raising funds for a much-needed new PA system? In the case of Holland, Michigan-based Christ Memorial Church (CMC), the answer was to install a cost-effective coaxial solution from L-ACOUSTICS.
Early last year, CMC initially commissioned Parkway Electric and Communications to design a discrete loudspeaker setup to provide sound reinforcement for its 180-voice choir and orchestra, both of which perform from the far left side of the sanctuary. After evaluating at a number of systems, Parkway specified a compact LA4-powered system comprised of four KIVA elements arrayed beneath a KILO low-frequency extension cabinet, with two additional KIVA down-firing behind the array to provide monitoring for the choir. more
