Spectrasonics Launches Special Tribute to Bob Moog

New Omnisphere Library and Contest to win custom OMG-1 Synth


BURBANK, CALIF – MARCH 21, 2011 – Spectrasonics today launched a unique, multi-faceted tribute to honor the legacy of synthesizer pioneer Dr. Robert Moog. The company released a new “Bob Moog Tribute Library” created by renowned artists for Omnisphere(r), and kicked off a contest designed around the library, where participants enter to win the one-of-a-kind “OMG-1” hardware synthesizer created by Eric Persing. 100% of the proceeds from this Tribute go to benefit the Bob Moog Foundation.

Monitor Engineer Britton, Earl Klugh Band Give Thumbs Up to NEXO Wedge


BUENA PARK, Calif.—Since it began delivering in late December, the new NEXO 45 N-12 12-inch line monitor is receiving rave reviews. Engineer Melissa Britton, had the opportunity to use the new NEXO line monitors for Earl Klugh and his band at a recent show held at the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts in California. Although filling in at front of house on a Yamaha PM1D for this particular show, Britton normally mixes monitors using Yamaha digital consoles for Klugh. Brian Rachko mixed monitors for the Cerritos gig on the house Yamaha PM5D.

Chris Bell Keeps His Mixes Real With ADAM Audio


Chris Bell’s career already includes a Grammy nomination for Best Engineered Album (Kirk Franklin) and work with the Eagles, Erykah Badu, Everclear, Destiny’s Child, U2, Earth, Wind & Fire among others, Now he’s a partner and resident producer-engineer at Blade Studios in Shreveport, Louisiana, eager to move to the next phase of his enviable career.
Working with friends and colleagues Brady Blade and Scott Compton at Blade, Chris points out the obvious musical and cultural advances of working just miles from New Orleans along with the tax incentives offered by Louisiana to make records there.
Asked about his career, Chris explains how he made a logical transition from musician to recording engineer, mastering ¼� tape machines at an early age and quickly moving up through the ranks to professional status in Dallas, Texas.
