NAPERVILLE, Ill. – March 1, 2011 – The Compass Church—a 3,000-member, multi-site church located in the Chicago suburbs—selected the K-array KR200S loudspeakers to reinforce the live sound of its diverse and progressive worship services. The speakers are used in the church’s new multi-site location in the gymnasium of nearby Crone Middle School, referred to as the 111 Campus.

Working with Frankfort, Ill.-based integrator Plus One AV, The Compass Church had identified some core requirements the audio system for the 111 Campus would need to overcome. First, the system would need to be extremely easy to set up and tear down each week. Second, since the facility is a gymnasium, the system would need to be acoustically flexible and able to provide superior sound for both spoken word and live music. Marty Fornelli of Plus One AV arranged a competitive shoot-out between more

GNG

MELVILLE, NY, February 28, 2011 — Korg USA is proud to be a gear sponsor of the U.S.-based charity Guitars Not Guns, which aims to provide guitars and lessons to foster children, at-risk youth and other deserving children in a classroom setting with qualified teachers, as an alternative to involvement in violent activity at school and on the streets.

They also teach students to care for and tune the instrument, and to that end, Korg USA has twice donated a variety of hand-held guitar tuners to several of the charity’s California chapters for students to use and keep.
