Already a Vi6 user, the experienced sound man has been involved with the Schule für Rundfunktechnik (School for Radio Technology), which was set up in Nuremburg, since as far back as 1985. Seven years later he formed Martin Stoll Audio Production, which was renamed Eggs & Bulbs in 1997, and is today based in nearby Fürth.
Having familiarized himself with digital mixing at an early stage he was seeking a platform “with everything on board — at a good price specifically to run the UEFA Champions Festival 2011 at Speaker’s Corner in London’s Hyde Park — a week-long celebration of football leading up to the UEFA Champions more

OXFORD, ENGLAND: A game-changing collaboration between Germany-based mp3 creator Fraunhofer IIS, and pioneering plug-in designer/manufacturer Sonnox Ltd., has produced a revolutionary solution for improving the quality of online music.

Boston, MA––The brainchild of Matthew McArthur, a graduate of Berklee College of Music, and brought to life with the help of Dr. Susan Rogers, Associate Professor at Berklee College, Department of Music Production & Engineering (MP&E), The Record Company (TRC) was created to serve Boston youth in a multiplicity of ways.
As Matt put it in a recent interview, “The idea for TRC was born from two needs we identified: music technology instruction for teens and low-cost recording facilities for independent artists. Music in public schools and other venues is declining, so we wanted to create new opportunities, particularly in music technology because with youth being interested in that technology, it’s one of the easiest ways to communicate with teens.
“That, and we wanted independent musicians to have a venue to collaborate and make recordings, he continued, “but not the same music scene you’d see in New York more
Andover, MA— Continuing its leadership position in the ukulele market, Fishman Acoustic Amplification is featuring Jake Shimabukoro in its new ad campaign.
The instrument’s most popular artist, Shimabukoro has earned comparisons to the likes of Jimi Hendrix and Miles Davis, and has been heralded for entirely redefining the instrument by his early thirties. Jake has been a Fishman artist since exploding on the scene in 2005.
For Shimabukuro, his life has always centered on the ukulele. He started playing the instrument at the age of 4, at the urging of his mother who also played. “Everyone plays in Hawaii, he says. “But I just immediately fell in love with it.
Although a few several well-received solo releases helped the musician earn some fame on the island, his career really skyrocketed during a TV appearance in New York, more
