Also included are Menu navigation controls for the included software and a Guitar synthesizer volume control. A Guitar, Mix, Synth switch is easily accessible during performances. A low profile design (less than .5”) allows the Controller to be left on the guitar and still fit in the case. It operates with a rechargeable Lithium Ion battery (included).
Triple Play’s powered USB Wireless Receiver interfaces with computers or iOS devices. The system comes with a comprehensive Windows, OSX and iOS software bundle to get users started.
A Triple Play Wireless Guitar Expander option provides additional connectivity for interfacing wireless MIDI signals to computers or iOS devices. It adds a full function USB audio interface with guitar input, bypass and headphone output, MIDI hardware IN and OUT and support for footswitches to greatly extend Triple Play’s capabilities for recording, performing or composing music.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: February 2, 2012 Middle Atlantic Products, in conjunction with Extron Electronics, is initiating and supporting the establishment of a new standard for half-width rack systems for AV integration.
Working in cooperation with the Electronic Components Industry Association (ECIA), Extron and Middle Atlantic are seeking to establish and maintain a specific ECIA standard for what has typically been offered as a custom rack offering until now. To further strengthen the quality and application of the standard, the two companies are inviting manufacturers of compact-format devices to join a communication and working group for this effort.
Both manufacturers have recently developed product families – the Extron Half Rack Shelf System and Middle Atlantic’s new HR Series Half Racks – which, respectively, fit within and incorporate the proposed 10 5/8” overall width defined in the proposed new standard.
Commenting on the introduction and standard effort, Middle Atlantic Director of Marketing Kevin Handerson stated, “We are pleased to be working with device manufacturing partners to seize the initiative for establishing an ECIA standard for AV half rack systems. Having a workable, clear standard will greatly facilitate the installation of half rack products in useful applications.”
Dave Pincek, Vice President of Product Development for Extron Electronics, stated “Extron has long advocated the use of standard, rack-mount enclosure dimensions as a means of improving AV system designs and integration. With this proposed new standard for a compact mounting system, key AV equipment can now be more easily integrated into lecterns, columns, table legs, and similar spaces without sacrificing system functionality, thermal management, or room aesthetics.”
Device manufacturers that would like to participate in the working group should contact Mark Tracy, Director of Product and Business Development at Middle Atlantic Products, using the email address Standards@MiddleAtlantic.com.

COS-11D HWM Shines in Shepherd of the Hills Production
Pictured is the cast of "The Passion Play" at Shepherd of the Hills Church.
Each year, California’s Shepherd of the Hills Church presents “The Passion Play,” a large scale musical reenactment of the life of Jesus Christ. With over 160 cast members, the critically-acclaimed production has become a focal point of activity for one of the nation’s largest non-denominational churches. This year, Sanken’s new COS-11D HWM head worn microphone was tested out on principle performers by Technical Director and Production Designer Jeff Taylor.
“We had access to an early production unit and gave it a try,” remarked Taylor. “We were amazed at the sonic quality, not only for the robust singing, but the speech, as well. Everything just opened up — it sounded as if we were using good handheld ribbon mics.”
Sanken’s new head worn COS-11D HWM utilizes the same miniature components lauded industrywide as the lavalier microphone for film, TV, and stage. The ultra-miniature new generation microphone was designed for hi-resolution audio and is now available for live stage productions, broadcast, and houses of worship. The mic is especially valuable when there is rigorous head movement, while the close proximity of the mic to the vocal source provides consistently good audio with very natural characteristics.
“We tried the new Sanken mic on the cast member portraying Pilate,” explained Jeff Taylor. “It is a fairly active role and the gentleman is very dramatic, very physical in his performance, and we had no issues whatsoever. ”
“My FOH engineers were really impressed with the overall quality, so we put it on our musical director, Maxine Anderson, who is a professional vocal performer herself. She is an extremely powerful vocalist, and we wanted to see how the headroom was, so she just let it fly. The Sanken performed flawlessly.”
Sanken’s new microphone was also designed to provide greater immunity to RF interference. It incorporates exclusive design advances that deal with both digital and digital/analog hybrid RF wireless transmission. Taylor concluded, “There was a lot of RF flying around on that stage, and the COS-11D performed very well, no issues at all. We have a big Christmas production coming up and we’re really looking forward to using these new Sanken mics.”

Revolutionary Guitar Provides Perfect Pitch & Intonation, Forever Changing the Way Guitars Are Played & Recorded
Music and audio innovator Peavey Electronics® has partnered with Antares Audio Technologies, the creator of world-renowned Auto-Tune® pitch-correction technology, to announce the dawn of the new guitar revolution: the Peavey AT-200™ guitar featuring Auto-Tune for Guitar, a new musical instrument that electronically self tunes and intonates continuously as you play.
With the simple push of a button on the Peavey AT-200, guitar players can now create music in perfect tune and pitch. The Peavey AT-200 utilizes Antares Auto-Tune for Guitar, a DSP technology that works behind the scenes to bring the clarity of perfect pitch to a quality instrument in an unobtrusive manner. No bulky, unattractive hardware weighs down the playing experience—the Peavey AT-200 looks, plays and sounds just like a conventional guitar, exactly the way it should.
Just as Auto-Tune changed how vocals are recorded, the Peavey AT-200 with Auto-Tune for Guitar will forever change the way guitars are played and recorded. Players won’t have to stop to retune during live performances. Producers and engineers will no longer waste precious time on tuning and intonation issues during recording sessions. With the AT-200 guitar, perfect pitch is the new standard.
The Peavey AT-200 is also the gateway to a growing collection of powerful new Auto-Tune for Guitar features. With its built-in software upgrade capability, new features from Antares can be easily loaded into the AT-200 and controlled by any MIDI source, from MIDI foot switch controllers to iPad or iPhone devices running dedicated Auto-Tune control software.
Combining Peavey’s 47-year legacy of innovation in music and audio with Antares’ history of creating game-changing audio technologies is a natural partnership, said Peavey Electronics founder and CEO Hartley Peavey.
“Peavey has always been a ‘different’ kind of company, one that is driven by the desire to innovate and advance the possibilities in music and audio, while serving players and professionals with attainable, quality products,” said Peavey. “Partnering with Antares to bring their revolutionary Auto-Tune technology to guitars is the gateway to the next generation of music creation. As always, we’re proud to be leading the way.”
As countless players and producers know, less-than-perfect intonation can seriously muddy a guitar’s tone. The Peavey AT-200 guitar with the Antares Solid-Tune™ intonation system constantly monitors the precise pitch of each individual string and electronically makes any corrections necessary to ensure that every note of every chord and riff is always in tune, regardless of variables like finger position or pressure. The technology is even smart enough to know when players intend to manipulate pitch, so bends and vibrato sound as natural as they always have. As a result, listening to a guitar with Solid-Tune is a revelation, offering a purity of tone that has simply never before been possible.
“We knew that our Auto-Tune had the power to change the sound of guitars, creating sonority and clarity,” said Dr. Andy Hildebrand, founder of Antares Audio Technologies. “Partnering with a company revered for quality and reliability like Peavey was very important to this project. Peavey has been a leader in musical instruments for decades, and the AT-200 with Auto-Tune for Guitar is a high-quality guitar that any musician can appreciate.”
Peavey’s legacy of innovation includes pioneering the use of computers in guitar making and in creating the first digitally configured and controlled audio system. In addition, Peavey’s ReValver™ amplifier modeling software has changed the way musicians and producers think about recording guitar tone forever.
The Peavey AT-200 electric guitar will be available in July 2012 from authorized Peavey retailers. Please visit www.peavey.com/dealerlocator to find a dealer near you.
