SSL Brings Multiple Prods to NAB
SSL came to the South hall with many new products to show. First bowed at Musik Messe, Matrix is a SuperAnalogue™ 16 channel, 40 input mixing console with built-in signal router and multi-layer digital workstation control. New digital consoles were also on display with the C100 HD, C100 HD-S and the new C100 HD-L desks in attendance. SSL also showed a broad range of routing and I/O options via the CS-B Stage Box and/or MORSE.
If that wasn’t enough, there were two new cards in the booth, the MADI Xtreme card and Duende PCIe. MadiXtreme is a new family of multichannel PCIe audio cards for Mac and PC letting users take full advantage of the high speeds and incredible bandwidth offered by the PCIe bus on modern computers. Duende PCIe matches the processing power of its 19” Classic Duende sister with a stack of DSP processing power available to drive up to 32 channels of plug-in processing (at sample rates up to 96kHz) within the host application. You can run two Duende PCIe units on a single computer system for up to 64 channels of processing, it can also partner with firewire connected Duende Mini or Classic to achieve increased channel processing count.
